Sick of Sarah - self-described as "...rock and roll, lovey-dovey, a couple of four letter words and some SoCo in a blender..." this all girl, all lesbian rock band with some hefty attitude hails from Minneapolis and (to me at least) sounds like the music that would be produced if you overlayed a tegan and sara song with a northern state song.

nevermind that last part. they are talented, they are hot, and you should be listening to them.

we're on the wrong side again

I ate a hamburger today. A Cav burger to be exact (which is important, because Cav burgers are not only the best in the world, but my favorite, and this was my last for a long time.)
Anyway, I haven't eaten beef in about a week because I'm trying to eat healthier and I'm gradually reducing certain foods out of my diet. Well, that stupid hamburger (which I didn't even eat all of...maybe I ate half) is making me sick.

food shouldn't do that. food is sustainance, and nourishment. If it makes you sick, unless it is extremely spicy or you are allergic, there is something wrong with that. It shouldn't matter how often you eat it.

This experience only reinforces my avid support of organic foods (because the food has been exposed to fewer, if any, chemicals) and unprocessed foods when reasonably attainable.


In other news, I've been messing around on my guitar lately, working on strumming and learning the finger positions for some chords (mostly just trying to get comfortable with the instrument, which I'm finding comes very naturally to me compared to other things). I'm excited, because I'm starting to get the really sore fingers, which means I'll get callouses soon, which means I can really get into learning to play because my fingers won't hurt so much!!!!!

you aren't a real guitar player until you have callouses :)

so my tummy hurts, I have 8:15 rehearsal in the morning, and in less than 12 hours I will officially be a college graduate.
too much.

I'm a Heroine Addict

that's all i'm going to say about that. read it for yourself. you might learn something.


I'm looking at picking out a nice guitar for my graduation gift. i mean, honestly i'm not going to get a car or a puppy. and a guitar is something i can use regardless of where i end up.
i have one at home, but it's not a good one. it's buzzy and it sings for too long after you stop playing (makes it hard to tune, and hurts my ears!) I mean, i wish i had a spare $4000 lying around to drop on a really nice Martin, but I've been wanting a Hummingbird for awhile and Epiphone makes a really affordable version (and it's legit because Epiphone is a Gibson brand, and Gibson makes the real hummingbird blah blah blah). Maybe I can swing one that's a bit more expensive if i pawn my old one off. It would never sell on ebay, but it's decent enough for a local pawn shop. I think that's where my dad and i found it in the first place.

Tomorrow's a big day. hatchet party. yikes.
that's all i have to say about that.



I finished a painting. It looked amazing monday, so i can't wait to see it in the morning.

I finally watched The Incredibles. It was great. Finally an animated pixar flick that i liked!!!!

and finally, I only have 2.5 weeks of college left. (!!!)
