Je ne comprends pas ce monde.

once when i was five i was playing outside on the pavement in front of my house. i saw an ant in the middle of the driveway. it was a very small ant. i moved my toys and everything else off the pavement and then i laid in the grass and looked at the ant. one very small creature on this vast expanse of pavement, with nothing else around. no other ants. no beetles, no butterflies, no caterpillars, no bees.

it was too long without the other ants. but it couldn't find its way back to them, because they were nowhere to be seen.

this is how i feel today.
