I was raised by parents who were huge Focus on the Family fans, and I know a bit about what he promotes in terms of raising children.
Because of this, I have a hard time being particularly eloquent when it comes to the hypocrisy of the christian right (particularly Dobson and company) toward homosexuality. I just get so mad!
But today, I don't have to try to be eloquent. James Dobson has proven himself a hypocrite all by himself. He criticized Barack Obama for referencing the sections of Leviticus, which promote slavery and call it an abomination to eat shellfish (you know the verses), as an example of why it would be irresponsible to rule a country based exclusively on the bible.
I'm getting mad. I'm going to stop explaining. I know you know where this is going.
If you don't, head over and read Bayou's post on the subject. It is much better.
Practice what you preach.
